I've tried a couple of times with a different worksheet.

i have stopped doing all these, at the moment.

im not even sure if i will continue doing them, with kj. or even with matty.

he can maneuver the shopping cart, which impresses me.

we parents are easily impressed with our children's achievements, don't we? 

arranging from small to big.

he knows small, medium big.

but not big, bigger, biggest.

what is the word for this?

we should allow him to do this more often.

no 1: to occupy him

no 2 : involved him in food prep so that he loves his food more

no 3: developmental progress, he can practice his skills, such as pouring, stirring, twisting of hands and etc

introduced knobbed cylinder to kj at about 3 years old.

matty is lucky.
he gets to start sooner.

Develops:
Visual perception of depth and dimension
Helps observe surroundings with a greater knowledge of height, length, width, and depth.
Helps with fine motor skills
Writing readiness-the fingers and thumb form the pencil grip

Control of Error

• Seeing those that are too wide not fit
• Those that are too thin will not fit snugly
• Those that are too short or too tall will not be level
• At the least, the child will be left with one that does not fit in the end.

Mirror mirror on the wall

The wall mirror provides the child 

• the opportunity to see and study their own reflection, study their own movements and connect their movements with that of the reflection, this also helps the child (over time) to control their own movements
• another way of seeing the room
• encouragement to lift their head especially during tummy time, "controlling the head is the beginning of his mastering of the environment."

pardon my ill-effort of the black and white images. they kept on falling.

i used a double sided tape and blue tack to hold them to the wall.

i do not have space to convert our room to montessori rooms like this one here.

will try to create one area with a larger mirror for the children in our new home.

tugs my heart when he does this

i tried to flip him over, but he fall back down, or momentum made him roll over to the other side.

mom's trying to do something beneficial with the son

we took a step further.

made a triangle using the 3 sets of knobbed cylinder and just when he was about to complete it,

 mami, this is too easy. (furrowed eyebrow)

means he wants to finish it quickly.

too easy? i was astonished.

yess, come, we do together.

finally! he likes this popping game!

his dad found him concentrating popping this on the bed for a good 15-20 mins?

this, im impressed.

i mean the length of time.

trying to work on his concentration.

previously he was not interested in bubble wraps when i introduced it to him.

he couldnt pop hence didnt like it.

so i guess he has not reached his sensitive period for that yet at that time.

 cutting using a scissors for children.

it is ultra safe, but i do not like it.

the paper has to be taut to be able to snip off.

perhaps it is good for a newbie nevertheless.

 just turning three.

peeling hard boiled eggs.

 he enjoys it.

 look at the broken pieces of eggs in the pink container ;)

dont sweat about it.

 i should do this more frequent.

it helps in concentration and hands skill.

they also need to know how much pressure to apply on the eggs.
