During dinner today, out of the blue kj turned to me and asked "hey mummy are u wearing your bra?"
Yes of course i am
Oh where? I thought you are not
Here!
And he lightly press my shirt down and see the "hill" not mountain
Hahaa
Ohhh he uttered.
His dad caught us in our conversation, this is one topic which bothers him more than it bothers me
So he quickly explain to kj that this are private parts .he cannot do that etc etc
I quickly add on that he can do so to me but not to others..only to me
I think somehow i do not want to part with him as in i do not want him to think that he cannot do such things to me and we wont be as close as before -______-'''
Sobs
Heck he used to drink my milk! Haha

kj came home from school and was excited about his school trip in the morning.
they visited a primary chinese school in Putatan earlier in the day.
kj: mummy! do you know who i sat with on the bus today?
me: no, who?
kj: i sat with xxxxx. and do u know what, she is my girlfriend!
and he stopped and waited for my response.
i paused. looked at him.
me: oh! thats awesome!
and i give him a smile :)
kj perplexed.
kj: why did u say that? my friends all said eeeeyerrrrrr and why didnt u say that?
me: really? why do i need to? they ARE your girlfriends because she is a girl right?
kj just walked away........-____-'''
but anyway, i wanted to remind myself that children is a white piece of paper. they learn by watching us.
our every move are being observed. smirk
brilliant idea!!
why do you need expensive toys or fischer price or yada yada
hence i am now slowly learning to let go and sell off some of their toys...
it is definitely not easy especially the educational ones like the magnetic cards, or my montessori stuff
it does make me feel miserable not being able to use them now
kj couldnt wait for me to prepare his dinner so he dived in by scooping rice into his bowl
what amazed me was he also helped himself to the vege!
well trained this guy! ;)
thats our no2...eating every few hours...:D

stayed-in weekend
the chef made this yesterday for breakfast
a little too thick
second attempt today
the crispy edges!
used up all my 10 eggs in just 2 days!
luckily i have ordered a tray of 25 eggs last friday.
Kumar was just saying that we go through lots of eggs.
well, eggs is one of the best food found.
nutritious and versatile.
made another filling, with Peter Pan peanut butter.
cant get this brand anywhere else.
i must share the photo next time.
we placed this ikea easel in the kitchen.
he loves to write H.
he can draw beautiful circles and STRAIGHT lines.
i am in awe.
we also ate bread on both days this weekend, with bacon and omelette.
i suppose it is his first time eating bacon and egg sandwich.
i feel proud and blissful watching him eat.
he loves the bacon.
this is also my first time watching him eat our food.
during dinner tonight, he ate my pork ribs stew as well, and stir fried romaine lettuce.
they were all our food!
i no longer need to cook kid's meal just for him.
tonight he says he likes the pork.
also maybe because we went to buy the pork ribs together this morning ;)
he has graduated from the high-chair.
just in time.
his little brother is now using the high chair - to bathe.
he has been sitting and eating on his own. ONLY when he is with us.
more often than not, he loves to ask the aunty to feed him, even when drinking milk. -___-''
of course the babysitter feeds him the main meal, instead of allowing him to sit and eat independently.
she is afraid of kj not capable of eating on his own.
as well as littering the floor.
children need to learn.
and they begin with dirty floors and dirty tables.
anyway, i am proud of this little chap here.
we always eat dinner together, everyone on the dining table.
he will watch the adults eat. and this is the time to show good example.
i do not junk in front of my kid, and i advised hubs not to do it too. which he fails sometimes.
anyway, this weekend we ate home 100%!
i dont know about them but i am definitely the happiest person.

Tesco Laminating Machine and my emotion this week
Tesco Laminator, RM 70 more or less.
i have been asking around Homeschooling mothers about where to get a cheap laminator for home use.
a mom shared that she got one from Tesco and they work just as well.
so i imported this here!
small and light
laminating this black and white cards for Matty, from howwemontessori
this is what it can do.
i hope it lasts.
since we do not homeschool.
i'm just a keen mommy.
will just supplement as we go.
ive decided to make peace with myself (i hope i can manage to suppress the thought) and do what i can.
ive started work for a week and all emotions are jumbled up.
exhaustion.
dilemma.
house chores.
kayjay.
matty.
not so much of hubby. poor thing.
cooking.
laundry.
work. this is not an issue as i dont bring work home but the issue is that i need to spend 8-5pm at work place, instead of home.
we are trying to cope and get into rhythm.
so yeah, i dont have much time to come online nor plan about play school for KJ.
yet, matty is catching up with age so i will need to begin some 'work' with him.
can time stop?
i need a breather.

Bath time
apr 2013
they make me melt
i think i have truly made a wise choice when i handed kj over to his dad for bath time.
the number of times of me bathing KJ this year can be calculated using my 10 fingers.
ever since he could walk, his father has begun to bathe him with him. together. yes.
when his father couldnt make it, he'll ask me to bathe TOGETHER with him.
nope i cant do it.
anyway, they always have loads of fun in the bathroom.
im not jealous.
HAHA
but it made me swell with happiness listening to their cackles and prattles.
and today, hubs opened the bathroom door midway through their bath time and gloat
"see? 4 sons also never mind. how do u ask a girl to blow kisses like that? (asked KJ to blow me kisses) how do u expect a girl to run around the neighbourhood with us? (they played under the rain prior to that)..yada yada "
"see? 4 sons also never mind. how do u ask a girl to blow kisses like that? (asked KJ to blow me kisses) how do u expect a girl to run around the neighbourhood with us? (they played under the rain prior to that)..yada yada "
Dont be so selfish. what about me?

What to pack for kids when flying
playing with Logico in the airport whilst the father..........
pack some books to distract them in the cabin
he loves dinosaurs
he does not like colouring activity which i reckon would be good to bring on plane.
cardigan is the best warmer.
cools when it's warm.
warms when it's cold.
luckily he loves wearing my cardigan.
pulling his own luggage
6 months pregnant

waldorf : kampung boy
6 Aug 2013
watching my dad bathing the pigeons.
he learned the word "pet"
his pet is Hero, my family's black Rottweiler.
my dad's pet is pigeon. -_____-
i hate the birds.
the orchard.
my dad, very very old school and conventional.
he loves orchards.
this is his new orchard.
buah longkong.
no idea what is it called in english.
i was in my confinement so i was confined at home and the little boy enjoys going to the orchard, without me.
hence i have no idea what he does.
remember the chopping durian action?
now that we are back in KK, he saw a brownish round shell on the floor and he muttered longkong.
he picked up words really fast now.
i was impressed he can remember that fruit. hehe
picking rambutans.
he wants a RED one.
pulling the rambutan.
years ago, i remembered he was afraid of touching the rambutan.
maybe he did not like the hairy feel.
organic durian
played on the swing
the father practices surfing.
fresh water from the mountain.
believe me, it was refreshing and tasty!
dad went to shoot petai.
organic petai.
these days everyone talks about organic this, organic that.
whilst we enjoy, where does the little one go?
there were too many mosquitoes waiting to feast on fresh blood, so matty hid here.
isnt this mosquito net funny?
imagine lifting up the net and u can feast on the dish!
haha!
barely 2 months old, we bring him everywhere.
including the orchard in the kampung.
is he lucky or unlucky?
luckily no insect bites!
the cheeky boy loves the chicken!
i hope he did not torture them!
see? he picked up the chicken!
*gasp*
even i dare not touch them!
haha
lousy squeamish mama
a real silly boy
what's in his hand can u guess?
a small chick!
chill baby chill...
dont get over-excited!
he tried to kiss the chick
-__________-
i think he did kiss?
oh no!
and he asked me to take a photo of him kissing.
i was antsy so i got a little clumsy.
i want to quickly snap and get it done with so that he would release the fragile chick.
at night for dinner,
we had musang king, from Bentong.
this box costs over 200 ringgit.
some people said there are fake musang king.
one of the many ways to identify is that musang king has wrinkled skin.
2 months after confinement, i dare not went overboard.
just a few seeds to seal the craving.
some said durians can be eaten during confinement because it is heaty.
some said angin.
i dont know.
:S
i waited till after confinement.
check my title.
i mentioned waldorf.
what is waldorf?
it is a type of childhood education.
just like montessori, which everyone has heard of.
waldorf has to malaysia and hence people are becoming more aware of.
it originates from Germany.
While getting the links, i found some info which is in line with my parenting philosophy but ive greatly LOST the battle! :(
A cornerstone in Steiner’s educational theorems was the fact that children go through three stages in their lives. First, from age 0-7, the spirit inhabiting the body of the child is still getting used to its surroundings. This explains many standards in the Waldorf curriculum such as the standard of teaching the alphabet at age 7 or 8. During the second stage, from ages 7-14, the child is said to be driven by imagination and fantasy, and during the third stage, starting at age 14, the astral body is said to be driven into the physical body, creating the onset of puberty. - See more at: http://earthschooling.info/thebearthinstitute/?p=1872#sthash.OOu1uAq6.dpuf
Modern researchers, however, have just recently made this connection when they recently announced, “Watching Television may Quicken the Onset of Puberty” (Dr. Laura Markham, 2006). In her article, based on 35 different research studies she states that this connection has a lot to do with the hormone melatonin. Melatonin is a hormone produced by the pineal gland in the brain, which plays a key role in regulating the body’s internal clock. Light emitted by television screens suppresses melatonin levels in the blood, which disrupts sleep patterns of children and teens as well as the age at which they enter puberty. It is also interesting to note that the problems of early-onset puberty have baffled researchers since 1950. This was the same date in which televisions became widely owned in the United States.
This is not the main reason given when Waldorf Schools state on their websites that children should not watch television. When I reviewed 40 Waldorf school websites I found that 36 of them stated their main reason for discouraging television was that it hinders the imagination in the child.

why is my child always sick?
in the airport
the dad decided that he has to wear mask each time he flies
hello kitty mask bought in daiso.
a packet of 2. means RM2.50 each.
oh dear! pricey
yes, everyone is amused that he wants to even put on the mask
yeh, he put it on for 30mins, till we got up to the plane.
we had to coax him from time to time.
besides, the father himself also wears a mask.
leading by example?
uh, the father also always gets the bugs on plane.
-_________-
so we're killing 2 birds with a stone
;)
after flying frequently for 3 years,
we came to realize that each time he flies, he'll be the victim to illness.
prior to that, i have always thought that he is a healthy and strong kid.
hardly ever falls sick.
prior to that, i have always thought that he is a healthy and strong kid.
hardly ever falls sick.
except when we travel, he'll catch the flu and cough bugs inside the plane. darn.
also, his hygiene is awful.
constrained in the cabin,
his hand touches everywhere followed by scratching and wiping his face and whatnot.
his hand touches everywhere followed by scratching and wiping his face and whatnot.
nevertheless, we only treat the symptoms usually.
he rarely falls ill and becomes inactive.
he is usually ill and very active.
whenever a kid is active, they are fine.
remember to only treat symptomatically.
read this article.
parents, relax.
children are prone to illness when they begin school.
however, my child builds his immunity even before he attends school.
so parent, do relax.
he was never on antibiotic till today.
just once, we were not sure if it was bacterial, we gave him syrup amoxicillin for 2 dose and we stopped.
most of the time they were due to viral infection.
dont ask me how to diagnose.
even a doctor cannot be 100% sure.
but yeah, generally, antibiotic doesnt help viral infection.
and most of his illnesses were due to damn viruses.
now that he has started school,
there will be other bouts of flu.
im rolling up my sleeve.....
