why Heung??

this is the aforementioned Lin Heung !

like this place for the old fashioned ambience. classic

one of the places in HK that i can and will remember;)

Lin heung still keeps the tradition of having push carts.

the lady in the middle is a malaysian and that's her daughter beside her.

we 'tap toi' with them and later on only the uncle in yellow joined in. he talks a lot:) friendly chap

the ritual of cleansing the utensils

two types of tea served. one is in the teapot and the other is in the cup thingy (beside the teapot)
the cup thingy contains a smaller volume yet it is more expensive than the teapot.

the winning dishes would be their lotus bao, paikuat and siumai.
pai kuat (pork ribs)
siewmai
siew mai got prawns one ah?
i thought only meat

roasted goose bihun soup

ekekekeke

obviously, by listening to the name of the dish, i named it myself :p

salted egg yolk revealed itself at the core.

love it! mwah!

he lotusbao is unlike the ordinary linyongbao in malaysia. theirs is known as shanghai bao in our motherland?

stewpid kx went to order this without knowing that it is actually pig intestine. boohoo

to be polite, i ate ONE piece. it was just ONE piece yet i had to stage a brave face and chew and chew and chew THIS little component! thank god it wasnt as repulsive as livers!  *gag*

plain dumpling, served with white sugar.
elongated in shape.
unlike the ones that my mom made.
but ive seen these down South (of peninsular)

im voting Lin Heung and Maxim City Hall for dimsum in HK

we went to toa heung too, which is also popular for dimsum in kowloon, but is forgettable in my opinion.

sorrow befell when i left this place. that is because i did not have a chance to eat their malaigou. no kidding. hence i left this place half-heartedly. sobs. their malaigou MUST BE divine because you have to wrestle to get hold of it! you wouldnt even have time to lay eyes on it as they were all SNATCHED AWAY as soon as they were brought out.  sob again.

have i divulge the fact that MALAIGOU is my all-time favourite? i can never ever say NO to a malaigou no matter how stuffed i am!

sigh. let fate take charge this time. i will not let this happen again the next time around. this only gives me more reason to go back to HK!

isnt it quite apparent that i love this vibrant city? :)

frankly, we ate so little in this trip that i did not put on any weight at all. not really satisfied with the food crawl.

feels a little disturbed when u dont put on any KGs after a trip. like u didnt go for a trip altogether.

hee

*stick tongue out*

i still wear bangkok on my sleeve. mwahs to bangkok! :)
