Salmon fish head broth

salmon head
fry it on your non-stick pan or a better choice would be on your double-grilled pan.
add some ginger and fry together until........ i go with my gut feeling.
until to a point which you think the fish would not give a bad fishy smell in your soup.
:)
until the outer layer of the fish head is cooked.
not bloody.

u may add some olive oil if it sticks to the frying pan.

transfer the head into a slow cooker/ crockpot and fill up with water, covering the fish.
throw in the ginger.

put on High heat for 12 hours.

decant the soup.

fry onions and garlic with butter.
add in the soup and simmer.
add in some potatoes and bay leaves.

sprinkle with some pepper and herbs.

serve.

serve with pasta.

he loves it.

i was worried about the fishy smell, but seriously, i was being silly.

this is a power soup.
