Granulated Mushroom Bouillon

 granulated mushroom bouillon

100% vegetarian
extracted from 100% wild mushroom.
natural seasoning?

i have no idea.
but yeah, we are using this in our kitchen.

i hardly use this seasoning powder.
i either have the dish bland or i'd use my own chicken/beef/pork stocks.

im those type who is also sceptical in using oyster sauce.

im a minimalist.

i either cook with fresh produce, or none at all.

so sometimes my food might come out unflavourful, but atleast i know they are healthy :p

so yes, chef leong is the one using this.

if u add this to your noodle, my goodness, it tastes exactly like your store bought instant noodle!
-_______-
because one day he served a bowl of mee and i was like...huh?why did u use the instant noodle's flavoring i asked.
he says nope, he did not.
he uses the mushroom powder.
i see...

is this a healthier alternative to ajinamoto?
or to the knorrs or maggi cube stocks?
this is debatable
;)

I hate to cook with much seasoning too but Sam is like d father of ajinamoto and oyster/abalone sauce. Always preach that MSG do not harm d body like we always claim. So I succumb and cook things more favourable to his palate. I feel bad if the dish I cook is bland (though I prefer it that way), and he has to console me that it's nice (when I know he definitely think tak cukup rasa). How do u convert yr husband? Or he prefers food bland too? I shudder at d thought of putting much salt into dishes. Kidney failure much???

erm yieng, he finds my cooking bland too. and very cincai. haha.

i used to ONLY steam fish. i dont deep fry. so if he wants to eat them, he needs to do them. haha. hence he is now a master fryer! :D he has learned how to fry fish like a pro ;)

well ive bought air fryer but still in its box -_____-''

back to tasteless cooking...i do know that some people claim on the non toxicity of ajinomoto/msg but i dont know how true it is.

when i serve blanched veggie, i only use soy sauce and garlic as flavoring whereas fh likes to drop some oyster sauce on top. so i'll go eeeek u eat your part! i want those that does not touch the oyster sauce! so being a lazy him, after a while he began to omit the oyster sauce. hehe

and slowly, he gets used to my tasteless cooking. dont think u should feel bad, because it is healthy.

not that he eats your food 100%. we also do eat out so he can get all his ajinomoto from outside food, hence there is a balance? :)

now that we have gotten used to tasteless cooking, we think that my mom's tasty cooking is sometimes too oily and salty. hehe. well, thats what make them tasty!

so yeah, u shouldnt feel bad. for health's sake, u should carry on serving less flavourful food. LOLS

u can try to flavour them with natural stuff like adding more 'liu' to naturally sweeten the dishes.
